Anti-hair loss tips
Everyone experiences hair loss; it's part of the hair growth process. On average, a person loses 50 to 120 hairs per day. That's quite a lot, but perfectly normal.
Excessive hair loss
When is hair loss considered excessive? If someone has been experiencing it for a long time, loses a lot of hair while brushing, and it's noticeable and palpable that their hair is less full than usual, then it can be called excessive hair loss.
What can you do about it?
There can be various causes, one of which is nutrition. This is not always considered. However, a monotonous diet and a lack of vitamins and minerals can cause hair loss. Indispensable nutrients for healthy hair include proteins, vitamin B, iron, sulfur, zinc, and magnesium. The body and all bodily functions need nutrients to function optimally. A healthy and varied diet is therefore good for the body, mind, skin, and hair! Certain foods are known to reduce hair loss caused by nutrition and improve hair condition. We've found out which ones, for example!
Bananas: hair becomes less greasy if you regularly eat a banana, because bananas are rich in vitamin B12.
Tomatoes: vitamin B8 in tomatoes can reduce hair loss.
Fish: the antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids in fish have a positive effect on both dry hair and hair loss.
Oranges: vitamin A gives hair more shine, vitamin B makes hair stronger.
Spinach and parsley: iron strengthens the scalp and stimulates blood circulation, which in turn has a positive effect on hair.
Nuts: oil and healthy fats stimulate the production of elastin, which is necessary for healthy, strong hair growth.
Soy: has a dual effect, it inhibits hair loss and stimulates hair growth.
Last but absolutely not least, the Avocado: an excellent source of vitamins B and E, vitamins that keep hair strong and prevent hair loss. Additionally, avocado is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. Avocado also contains vitamin C, which stimulates iron absorption, and folic acid. This supports tissue growth in the body and therefore also hair growth and stimulates blood circulation, allowing important vitamins and minerals to reach the hair follicles in the scalp more effectively. Truly a very healthy green powerhouse!
