Which styling product is right for you?

Are shelves full of gels, sprays, and waxes a mystery to you? Then read on. We'll tell you which styling product is best for you. First, it's important to determine your hair type. Find your hair type and see what products the experts recommend!

Straight hair

Does your hair fall straight down? Then you fall into this category. However, we can't lump all straight hair together.

Straight and smooth

If you wear an elastic band, it might just slide down. Stay away from gels and waxes, as these will only make your hair type smoother. Instead, choose a product that gives your hair texture and makes it rougher. For example, a matte clay or paste, like the Model & Go.

Straight and thick

With this hair type, it can be very difficult to give hair volume. Often, a styling product only works for a short time, and then your heavier hair returns to its natural straightness. Therefore, use an extra strong hairspray or extreme volumizing powder. These products will truly keep your hairstyle in place.

Straight and thin

You probably want more hair, a lot more hair. Even without hair extensions, you can create a fuller look. Often, volume starts with washing. You only need to wash your scalp and hair roots. You should only use conditioner on the ends of your hair. To give your hair more grip, you can use a hair clay or Styling Foam Strong. Do not use oils.

Wavy hair

Within wavy hair, there are more types of hair to be found, and for these, we really recommend different products.

Wavy and dry

Wavy hair is multifunctional because you can style it with a straightener, but also easily create curls. However, if your hair is dry, it's important to use a nourishing styling product. The Care & Shine Wax is designed for this. Thanks to nourishing ingredients like Aloe Vera, the hair is maximally hydrated, while your hairstyle also stays beautiful!

Wavy and thin

This hair type can quickly fall flat if you use styling products that are too heavy. Opt for a light spray instead. It's also advisable to use a leave-in conditioner instead of a regular conditioner.

Wavy and thick

Do you belong to this group? Then you're in luck! You can actually use any styling product. You'll just sometimes notice that your hair could use some shine. For this, use a wax, such as the Polish. This fairly strong wax gives shine and resilience to the hair. Your wavy hair won't become hard, but it will be beautifully accentuated.

Curly hair

Curls, curls, curls! Curly hair often starts crooked from the root. This can make it harder for it to absorb moisture. So, care is the key to success with curls!

Curly and thick

Do you have thick and curly hair? And do you want to style your hair? Then stay away from drier styling products, such as matte clay. Instead, opt for spiderweb-like and gel textures. Make sure that the styling products preferably do not contain silicones. Our top picks: Shaper, Lagune.

Corkscrew curls & Frizzy curls

These curls can unfortunately frizz easily. Therefore, it is important to keep the hair nourished. Use a hair cream for this, such as the Hair Restorer or a nice oil. These nourishing products also style the hair. Do you want it a bit firmer? Then use a wet spray, such as the Setting Spray.
