World Psoriasis Day

Today is not only Halloween, it is also World Psoriasis Day.

How to recognize psoriasis?

Psoriasis is characterized by red, scaly patches that usually appear on hairy parts of the body, such as the head. Common areas where psoriasis occurs are: elbows, knees, and the (hairy) scalp. The condition is often accompanied by itching. Psoriasis is not contagious and is hereditary.

Treatment

Fortunately, psoriasis can generally be well managed with a healthy lifestyle and proper care. Limit the use of alcohol and cigarettes. In addition, there is a clear link between stress and the skin condition. Avoiding stress can certainly help. Also, avoid skin irritations by keeping the skin well-hydrated. Do not use foaming shampoos and soaps. Opt for fatty, moisturizing shampoo instead.

Neutrea Plus Shampoo 5% Urea

This Neutrea shampoo with moisturizing Urea makes dry and irritated scalps soft and supple again. The shampoo contains no colorants or fragrances, no parabens, and is dermatologically tested. Calmare Neutrea shampoo cleans very gently and relieves itching.
