...there was a leave-in cream, so nourishing and protective; it made every dry, dull, and damaged hair shine like never before! For 45 years, the one and only Original Haarhersteller!
How it started...
The Haarhersteller is over 45 years old. The founder of Calmare discovered a conditioner in France that didn't need to be rinsed out. 'A gap in the market', he thought, and so Calmare became the first in the Netherlands to develop a leave-in conditioner.
The literal translation of the name of the French product was 'Hair to Restore', which is why the Dutch product was named Haarhersteller. 'Only use a small amount' was the tip on the label.
In the beginning, the Haarhersteller was the only Calmare product, but its resounding success left a taste for more! After six months, several shampoos followed, and eventually, the assortment grew into the complete line that exists today.

The Haarhersteller's composition has hardly changed over the years. Why change something that so many hairdressers love? New packaging, however, the Haarhersteller certainly did get! In the photo, you can see the different packaging over time.
